  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources, ensuring alignment with security and compliance standards.
  • Implement and manage SRE practices, including system reliability, monitoring, and incident response, to ensure the high availability and performance of cloud services.
  • Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring smooth operation, scalability, and adherence to security best practices.
  • Collaborate with development teams to establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, focusing on automated testing, deployment, and continuous delivery.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices across all cloud infrastructure and application deployments, with a focus on ensuring compliance with federal security standards, particularly within AWS GovCloud environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and application deployments. Optimize resources for cost-effectiveness and performance.
  • Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using industry-standard tools to ensure real-time visibility into system performance and health.
  • Work closely with DevOps, development, and third-party vendor teams to streamline software delivery processes.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure design, configurations, and SRE processes. Provide regular updates and reports on project status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Active Secret security clearance preferred, or the ability to obtain one.
  • Active CompTIA Security+ certification. AWS and/ or GCP certification are strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a focus on GCP and AWS cloud platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in developing infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, with a focus on security and compliance.
  • Extensive experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), including setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines for data integration development using GitLab CI/CD.
  • Solid experience with Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and managing containerized applications, with an emphasis on security best practices.
  • Deep understanding of security best practices in cloud environments, particularly in AWS GovCloud, with experience in implementing and managing secure cloud infrastructures.
  • Strong understanding of Java backend development, particularly with the Spring Boot framework.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues with cloud infrastructure, containerized environments, and security configurations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in healthcare IT, with knowledge of healthcare data standards such as FHIR and HL7.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment with tools like JIRA for project management.
  • AWS and/or GCP certification(s) are highly desired.
  • Familiarity with API integrations using Mulesoft Anypoint.
  • Prior experience working in a consulting environment, particularly within Federal healthcare agencies such as DHA, is a strong advantage.
