Description:RE/MAX Rental Resources is currently on the lookout for a detail-oriented and self-motivated Property Inspector to join our team. As a Property Inspector, you will be responsible for entering vacant and occupied rental units to record the conditions of the units through photographs, a short video, and a report.The ideal candidate will have a high level of mobility, experience in property inspections, a level of personal integrity, and be comfortable working in various temperatures and weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Visit rental properties as scheduled in a tracked company vehicle while wearing company identification and an active bodycam.
  • Take photos and a short video on a company device in vacant and occupied rental units to document their conditions.
  • Inspect and change HVAC filters and smoke/CO detectors and their batteries as necessary.
  • Attend the City of Columbia and CHA rental compliance inspections, making necessary notes to maintain compliance with rental standards.
  • Create notes from each inspection to provide management and maintenance with information relevant to the upkeep of occupied rental units and the progress of the turn of vacant units.
  • Upload photos, videos, and reports to our property management software on the day of inspection.
  • Communicate effectively with management, tenants, and fellow members of staff.
  • Adhere to a fast-paced schedule managed on a service-tracking app (Service Fusion) installed on a mobile device.
  • Evaluate situations and inform the correct members of staff to resolve issues promptly, which may include submitting work orders or contacting a supervisor for emergency situations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A valid driver’s license and corporate-insurable driving record are required
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal direct supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Competency in using computers and related technologies
  • High school diploma/GED preferred
  • Property management experience preferred
  • This position will require the ability to repeatedly enter and exit a vehicle upwards of ten times a day; several extended periods of walking; multiple instances of climbing or descending stairs of varying styles, heights, widths, and pitches; repetitive movements such as typing, dialing and speaking on the phone; and the ability to focus on multiple different tasks throughout the day.
