DEPARTMENT: Accounting
REPORTS TO:
Sr. Manager Office and Administration.
SUMMARY: Coordinating activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and advertising, for the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Reviews requisitions.
  • Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
  • Determines methods of procurement such as direct purchase or bid.
  • Prepares purchase orders or bid requests.
  • Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
  • Arranges inbound freight.
  • Monitors inventory position against sales forecast and customer orders to maintain acceptable safety stock levels.
  • Enters Production Sheets.
  • Processes receiving paperwork.
  • Verifies invoice price to PO confirming the invoice matches the PO.
  • Expedites delivery of goods to users.
  • Other duties may be assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • MUST HAVE one or two years' OF PURCHASING EXPERIENCE.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree 
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
