job Summary:

The Maintenance Manager (Diesel Generator) is responsible for the oversight and management of all maintenance activities related to diesel generators. This includes planning, scheduling, and executing preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability of the generators. The role also involves managing a team of technicians and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all diesel generators.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate and supervise corrective maintenance activities.
  • Ensure timely and efficient repair of diesel generators to minimize downtime.
Team Management:
  • Lead, train, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members.
  • Monitor team performance and provide feedback and development opportunities.
Inventory and Spare Parts Management:
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools required for generator maintenance.
  • Ensure availability of necessary parts and supplies.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for procurement of parts and services.
Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct safety training and enforce safety protocols among the team.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare and submit maintenance reports, including work orders, inspection reports, and incident reports.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance logs and documentation.
  • Provide regular updates to management on generator performance and maintenance status.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in diesel generator technology and maintenance practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and develop effective solutions.
