IT Systems and Infrastructure Lead 

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems and Infrastructure Lead to support the technical needs of our church community. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the church’s network, servers, devices, and cloud platforms, ensuring seamless operations that enhance ministry work and support our mission. This role combines technical expertise with a heart for service, contributing to a well-functioning IT environment for our church’s daily activities and future growth.

Core Responsibilities:Networking & Proactive Monitoring:Expertise in managing Extreme switches, VLANs, and network segmentation. 
  • Proficient in using Auvik for proactive network monitoring and troubleshooting, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity for staff and ministry activities.
RMM & Device Management:
  • Extensive experience with VSP 10 RMM for managing IT assets, including patching and updates.
  • Advanced proficiency in Jamf Business for configuring and maintaining Apple devices in a secure and compliant environment.
Server Administration:
  • Windows: In-depth knowledge of Hyper-V, Active Directory, and server roles for a stable, secure server environment.
  •  Linux: Strong expertise in managing Linux-based networking services, including DHCP, DNS, and firewalls.
Cloud Platforms & Collaboration Tools:
  • Proficiency in Azure and hybrid cloud environments for efficient, scalable solutions.
  • Advanced skills in managing Google Workspace for user and security administration, supporting collaboration within the church community.
Backup & Disaster Recovery:
  • Hands-on experience with Veeam for backup solutions and disaster recovery planning to safeguard data and systems.
Access Control & Security Systems:
  • Familiarity with Kantech Access Control systems and Wave Sync Security Cameras to ensure the safety and security of church facilities.
Security Expertise:
  • Strong skills in firewall configuration, VPN management, and endpoint protection.
  • Ability to enforce IT security policies and ensure compliance across diverse platforms, protecting the church’s digital infrastructure.
 Education & Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Administration, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience in IT systems and infrastructure.
Preferred Certifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent networking certifications. 
  • CompTIA Security+ or other relevant security certifications.
  • Jamf Certified Admin or other Apple management certifications.
  • Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) or equivalent Linux certifications.
