Description:We are looking for a safety-minded self-starter that is comfortable in a fast-paced environment. We perform commercial and residential maintenance on construction developments.The ideal candidate will have experience in the residential and commercial construction industry and the ability to provide some of their own tools. The candidate should also be familiar with construction industry safety standards to ensure project security and be able to work with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:Troubleshoot work orders with tenants over the phone and in-person.Diagnose problems and repairs in the areas of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural, and/or appliances.Maintain a clean and organized inventory in company storage and provided vehicles.Provide on-call services to tenants as defined by our Emergency Maintenance Standards.Assist with purchasing maintenance supplies while staying within the planned budget.Communicate with supervisor regarding the overall maintenance function of the property.Depending on the nature of work performed, the incumbent may be required to wear a respirator or self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) as outlined in the “Industrial Standard for Respirator Use.”Keep accurate time and detailed records of work performed at each location through the use of a service-tracking application (Service Fusion).Communicate effectively with management, tenants, and other maintenance technicians.Perform other duties as assigned.A valid driver’s license which will allow the legal operation of a motor vehicle in the State of Missouri is required.
Minimum Qualifications:A valid driver’s license and corporate-insurable driving recordGeneral hand- and power-tool experienceBasic carpentry knowledgeBasic electrical knowledgeBasic plumbing knowledge2+ years’ experience in construction preferredThis position will require the following on a daily basis:
Grasp, lift, maneuver, rotate, and otherwise use small to large trades tools and equipment
Grasp, lift, carry, and set down heavy objects (50-80 lbs.)
Grasp, turn, twist, pull, push, lift, and otherwise move equipment, controls, parts, etc.
Visually assess maintenance, construction, and repair needs
