Position: Quality Test TechnicianSchedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pmSalary: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour Position SummaryThe Quality Test Technician ensures that products consistently meet specifications and standards. Collaborating closely with engineering and management, this role involves identifying and addressing quality issues to provide exceptional product performance. The technician is responsible for tuning, testing, and verifying tests to meet customer expectations, performing complex testing, and evaluating digital, analog, and radio frequency (RF) electronic assemblies according to written procedures.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support Quality Department: Ensure product excellence and compliance with standards using all required testing tools/equipment.
  • RF Data Programming and Testing: Program, test, and characterize RF data to ensure accurate results.
  • Test Plan Execution: Execute comprehensive test plans to evaluate RF circuitry components, assessing the performance and reliability of prototype or production assemblies.
  • Troubleshooting and Evaluation: Troubleshoot RF circuitry issues and evaluate assemblies' performance and reliability.
  • Product and Quality Issue Resolution: Promptly identify and report product or quality issues, working with leadership to implement practical solutions and process improvements.
  • Tool Calibration: Oversee the calibration of manufacturing tools to maintain accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Quality Management: Expertise in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and adherence to industry standards.
  • Electrical Testing: Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and automated test systems.
  • RF Equipment: Skilled in using vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and RF generators.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with NETS/EASYWIRE and other specialized testing software.
  • Technical Interpretation: Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Result Validation: Knowledge of tolerances, control limits, and pass/fail criteria.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Proficient in maintaining and calibrating testing tools and equipment.
  • Collaborative Skills: Effective communication and teamwork with engineers and other team members.

Minimum Previous Educational/Experience Preferred:
  • 1–2 years of experience with vector network analyzers (VNA) required. 
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) in electrical engineering or two years of pertinent experience may be accepted.
