Warehouse Associate

Job Summary: We are looking for a reliable and hardworking warehouse worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing general warehouse duties including receiving, sorting, packing, and shipping goods. The warehouse worker will help ensure that products are handled safely, efficiently, and accurately while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and Unloading Shipments: Inspect and receive incoming goods and materials, ensuring they match order specifications and are free of damage.
- Inventory Management: Sort, organize, and store products in designated warehouse locations. Perform regular stock counts and assist in inventory management.
- Picking and Packing Orders: Retrieve products from shelves, prepare orders for shipment, and pack items in a secure and efficient manner.
- Shipping and Dispatch: Prepare outgoing shipments, verify shipping information, and load goods onto delivery trucks for distribution.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or damage, ensuring that all orders meet quality standards before shipment.
- Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- General Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards. Assist with maintaining a safe working environment by following safety procedures.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and orders, ensuring proper documentation is kept for reference.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more).
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, walking, lifting, and bending for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift heavy boxes and materials safely.
