Requirements:
  • Valid and active LPCC license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science
  • At least 12 consecutive months of performing similar services within the last 3 years
  • Must have the required certificates relevant to the assigned specialized area.
  • BLS certification from an American Heart Association provider.

Responsibilities:
  • Under supervision, LPCC responsibilities include:Conducting initial mental health evaluations, including assessments of criminal, psychological, and substance abuse history.
  • Performing suicide risk evaluations with proper documentation.
  • Conducting therapy sessions and clinical interviews.
  • Identifying signs of psychiatric disorders and collaborating with medical and support staff.
  • Writing clinical reports, treatment plans, and participating in complex case consultations.
  • Documenting patient care and participating in interdisciplinary meetings.
  • Monitoring patient progress and applying ethical standards.
  • Conducting mental status exams and health education.
  • Assisting patients with entitlements and transitioning between care settings.
  • Facilitating patient releases and coordinating community support.
  • Providing written reports and participating in quality improvement activities.
  • Ensuring safety and security measures are maintained.
  • Collaborating with various committees and adhering to reporting requirements.
  • Being on-call for emergencies and providing crisis intervention.
  • Other duties as assigned.
