We’re a growing, vibrant, fun-loving pediatric and orthodontic dental practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. We’re seeking a dynamic and energetic Area Clinical Manager to join our team and help keep our office running smoothly.
We are looking for a full-time Clinical Manager to help oversee our Costa Mesa, Placentia, Cerritos, and Garden Grove, Tustin, Long Beach, and Lake Forest locations.  
Job Summary:The Area Clinical Manager in a pediatric dental practice will oversee the clinical operations, ensuring exceptional patient care, compliance with clinical protocols, and the efficient functioning of the dental team. This role involves managing the day-to-day clinical workflow, supervising clinical staff, and collaborating with the administrative team to enhance patient experience and streamline operations. This person will report to the Clinical Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Management:
    • Oversee daily clinical operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
    • Coordinate patient schedules with clinical staff to optimize appointment flow and minimize wait times.
    • Ensure that all clinical procedures adhere to best practices and industry standards, especially within pediatric dentistry.
    • Maintain clinical supplies and equipment, ensuring they are adequately stocked, sterilized, and functioning properly.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage and lead clinical staff, including dental assistants.
    • Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to clinical staff.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging continuous improvement and team development.
    • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of clinical staff.
  • Patient Care and Communication:
    • Ensure that high-quality patient care is delivered consistently and compassionately.
    • Monitor patient feedback and address any concerns related to clinical care or patient experiences.
    • Work with pediatric patients and their families, creating a warm, comfortable environment to ease dental anxieties.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
    • Implement and monitor infection control protocols and ensure all clinical areas are up to safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Collaboration with the Administrative Team:
    • Work closely with the Clinical operations manager and administrative team to improve operational efficiency.
    • Collaborate on patient scheduling, billing inquiries, and overall patient flow.
    • Assist with developing and implementing policies and procedures that improve both patient experience and clinical efficiency.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Track key clinical metrics, including patient satisfaction, treatment outcomes, and staff productivity.
    • Provide regular reports to practice leadership on clinical performance and areas for improvement.
    • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and quality assurance.

Qualifications:
  • At least 3-4 years of clinical experience in a dental setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Experience in pediatric dentistry is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of dental equipment, materials, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in dental practice management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive patient issues with compassion and discretion.
