The primary responsibility of the Junior Sewing Machine Service Technician is to efficiently conduct sewing machine repairs and service. This person must be self-motivated, very adept at troubleshooting, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with a friendly and customer-oriented demeanor.

This full-time role is based at our East Aurora store location, with 1 on 1 training occurring at our Williamsville store location.

Job Details: 
  • Demonstrate strong technical and mechanical aptitude, with some knowledge of electronics and computers.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of sewing machine servicing and operation.
  • Provide technical support to customers and staff, ensuring quality, efficient machine service and testing.
  • Communicate effectively (verbal and electronic) with internal teams, external vendors, and directly with customers as needed.
  • Show a strong desire and ability to continuously learn and improve skills.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members daily.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift and carry sewing machines and other heavy items, occasionally up to 50 pounds. Handle incoming palletized stock, and move and transfer items between store locations.
Other duties as assigned.

This role reports to our Operations Manager.
