Delivery Service Supervisor

Job Overview:

Sysco is looking for someone to oversee our delivery operations. This role involves guiding our delivery team, organizing routes, ensuring safety, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Working Hours:
 Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with the possibility of extra hours or weekend work as business needs arise.

Education Requirements:
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • A degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.

Experience Needed: 
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience or training, or a combination of education and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily work of delivery staff to ensure they follow safety protocols and meet customer service standards.
  • Analyze delivery data to improve efficiency and ensure timely service.
  • Manage labor hours and stay within budget.
  • Adjust schedules and communicate necessary changes to the team.
  • Ensure proper use of company resources to support our delivery efforts.
  • Coordinate any repairs needed with the right departments.
  • Review delivery performance reports and recommend improvements.
  • Develop ideas for increasing efficiency and reducing costs, and help implement changes.
  • Teach and enforce company policies, especially concerning safety and record-keeping.
  • Maintain good communication with sales and marketing teams to address any delivery issues.
  • Regularly check in with drivers to ensure they stick to their schedules and meet performance goals.

Physical Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone to talk and hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
