Empowerment Advocate: Youth Support Worker (STAS) - Join Us in Transforming Lives

Crossroads Programs, Inc. an Apis Affiliate, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Youth Support Worker in Willingboro, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and be committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for our littles heroes. We have Full-time and Part-time openings available.

Shifts Available:
  • Tuesday-Saturday (7a-3p) FT
  • Sunday-Thursday (3p-11p) FT
  • Tuesday-Saturday (11p-7a) FT
  • Saturday-Sunday (7a-3p) PT
  • Friday-Monday (7a-3p) PT
  • Friday-Monday (3p-11p) PT
  • Saturday-Sunday (3p-11p) PT

About Maxine’s HouseMaxine’s House is a residential program providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children between the ages of 5 to 12. Our residents may have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, or challenging life circumstances. Maxine’s house was designed to help children heal and grow by providing them with therapeutic care, education, and life-training skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing direct care and support to up to five residents, including supervision, meal preparation, and transportation to appointments and activities.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment for each resident.
  • Collaborative with team members to ensure consistent and effective delivery of therapeutic care.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other career development activities.
  • Maintain accurate and complete resident records, including progress notes and incident reports.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, and psychology with one year experience providing direct care to youth in a behavioral health agency or institutional setting.; We will consider applicants with High School diplomas that can show at least three (3) years’ experience providing direct care to youth in a behavioral health agency or institutional setting.
  • Minimum age requirement of 21 years.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Physical & Drug Screening, Criminal Record History, FBI and Child Abuse History Clearances.

In addition, the ideal Youth Support Worker:
  • Is knowledgeable of child development, behavior management, and therapeutic techniques.
  • Can work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Will exhibit excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Has a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
