Pharmetric laboratory is a growing testing laboratory Job Description:Pharmetric Laboratory is seeking a Full-Time sterile Technician.  This job would be perfect for a sterile pharmacy tech.  But you don't need to be currently licensed- you do need the aseptic skills. Responsibilities:
There are many Responsibilities and what the tech will do can change from day to day:
  • Perform sanitation and maintenance of the cleanroom area 
  • Work would be in a laboratory testing the sterility of pharmaceutical preparations.
  • Participate in Staff meetings and quality improvement activities.
  • Must be knowledgeable in all microbiological testing of pharmaceutical products.
  • Knowledge of all policies and procedures pertinent to job duties.
  • Perform all testing using proper aseptic technique and following laboratory procedures.
  • Properly handle and dispose of hazardous and biohazardous waste.
  • Correctly complete and provide on time all required documentation (i.e. logs, records, records, etc.).
  • Assist with inventory management and maintain stock levels of appropriate products.
  • Properly use, clean, and maintain all equipment per manufacturer and laboratory guidelines.
  • Receiving samples, entering client information and samples in LIMS, printing appropriate labels and properly transferring samples into the controlled areas.
  • Disinfecting samples prior to testing
  • Preparing and sterilization of required materials.
  • Assist with validation documentation and records as needed.
  • Check for outdated supplies and take appropriate action per policy/procedure.
  • Maintains the client’s confidentiality and rights.
  • Participate in training as required.
  • Must keep accurate records and experience with Good Laboratory Practices.
  • Understand the aseptic environment and the importance of aseptic technique.
  • Clean controlled areas according to standards.
  • Maintain facilities in an extremely clean status.
  • Comfortable working in an aseptic environment for extended periods of time (hours)
  • Be comfortable wearing sterile garb for an extended time.

  • Maintaining microbial stocks
  • Biochemical identification of microorganisms
  • Disinfection Validation
  • ATP Bioluminescence
Job Type: Full-time If you have a background in microbiology, pharmacy, or sterile laboratory work you are ideal for this position.  Sterile technique is an absolute must, and prior work using sterile technique is required.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to, confidentiality in all matters at the laboratory, participation in training, ability to keep accurate records, and understanding of good laboratory practices.  Understanding of aseptic environment and aseptic technique is an absolute must for this position.  You must be able to maintain facilities in an extremely clean status.  There will be work in a sterile lab for extended periods of time, so you must be comfortable wearing sterile garb for an extended period of time.  Aseptic technique knowledge in USP microbiological tests is a plus. (Aseptic technique required, but if you understand United States Pharmacopeia standards that would be a big plus and could increase your starting pay) So what's required besides the aseptic technique?  Basic computer knowledge (windows, email, Microsoft Office)  Knowledge of laboratory equipment and maintenance.  You should be able to work with a team, we have no superstars here, only team players.  You should be responsible, accountable, and trustworthy.What would you do during the day?  You'd receive samples, be responsible for the chain of custody, cleaning of samples, and understand how the pharmetric laboratory computer system works (don't worry, we'll train you).  you might be responsible for materials preparation and you'd have to understand the workflow of the lab.  The main task is testing samples for sterility, so you'd have to understand how the equipment works, is maintained, etc.  Specific training.  You'd be taught how to use the equipment, there would be safety training, biomedical waste management, cleaning and disinfection, depyrogenation, and sterilization training.  Of course, there would be a competency assessment at the end of each training session.If you're an individual who enjoys going to work every day and wants to work with a great team, apply for this job
