Job Description

Billing Specialist
Fast paced growth-oriented company requires an individual for our Billing Department to compile, enter and review data from multiple sources for accuracy prior to invoicing and internal and external reporting. This individual will also input customer and contractor pricing as amended or contracted and work as a liaison with various departments.

Tasks:
  •  Verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors.
  • Prepare itemized statements and invoices and record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered.
  • Post data and keep other records concerning costs of goods or services or the shipment of goods.
  • Answer mail or telephone inquiries.
  • Data entry for pricing and new contracts.
  • Review and approval of contractor expenses for payment by Accounts Payable.
Technology:
  • Accounting software - QuickBooks; Excel and comfortable with learning new industry specific software/technology packages.
  • Individual must have a demonstrated experience with multiple computer packages,
  • Experience using Customer Portals such as FileMaker, Ariba, and Cognizant is a plus.

Requirements
Skills:
  • Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills and ability to multi- task.
  • Degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
  •  Individual will ideally possess seven to ten years of related work experience.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to work Independently and across departments in a spirit of teamwork.
