JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Accounting Department of an investment solutions firm has an opening for an entry-level Billing Specialist to join their team. This individual will have day-to-day billing responsibilities as well as meet monthly billing deadlines.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process Turnkey Asset Management Platform (TAMP) billing on client accounts and determine commission payments to investment advisors.
  • Process account terminations and client reimbursements as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure billing accuracy.
  • Execute account updates related to billing matters and ensure accuracy of the results.
  • Communicate with business partners to obtain and verify information regarding billable assets.
  • Maintain data integrity in multiple databases across the organization.
  • Perform data audits to ensure accuracy and adherence to established policies.
  • Create/monitor reconciliation reports and resolve reconciliation differences.
  • Assist with advisor billing issues.
  • Proactively communicate with managers on status of payments and other pertinent billing issues.
  • Develop expertise in billing technology platform.
  • Identify and help implement business process improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years related experience in a billing role required.
  • Prior experience working with Orion and Salesforce is preferred.
  • Highly motivated and ability to adapt to new firm initiatives, systems, and procedures.
  • Team player who takes accountability and is able to work independently.
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong sense of client service.
  • Personable and proactive individual with strong initiative and work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, small team environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task/prioritize competing priorities.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
