Elementary Teacher

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement project-based learning experiences that align with grade-level standards and curriculum objectives.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, supported, and empowered to take ownership of their learning.
- Plan and deliver differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students, including English Language Learners (ELLs) and students with special needs.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
- Facilitate student-led inquiries, discussions, and collaborative activities that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Assess student learning through authentic and performance-based assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to guide student growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community partners to support student learning and development.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and stay current with best practices in project-based learning and elementary education.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior, and communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student achievement and growth.
- Uphold the school's mission, vision, and core values, and actively contribute to a positive school culture and community.
- Meet and agree to continue to abide by all the Teacher Code of Ethics requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid teaching license/certification for elementary education.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in an elementary school setting, preferably with experience in project-based learning or inquiry-based teaching.
- Knowledge of child development, pedagogy, and best practices in elementary education.
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflection.
- Passion for innovative teaching methods and a dedication to inspiring and empowering young learners.
