Reports to: Chief Program Officer
Full time position: Exempt
Summary:Under the Chief Program Officer, the NORC Program Director will be responsible for directing all NORC program operations and services, supervise staff and vendors and act as liaison between tenants and management.
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
  • Supervise staff. Provide new staff orientation to the program. Ensure that the staff has the resources necessary to perform their jobs.
  • Ensure that each client has adequate, high-quality, appropriate services through thorough case conferencing with the team.
  • Ensure all reporting requirements (DFTA, SOFA, etc.) are met. Supervise the collection of statistics; prepare and submit regulatory reports as required.
  • Provide leadership in resource development including responding to Requests for Proposals.
  • Develop outreach strategies and materials, including monthly newsletter and other materials. Operationalize outreach strategies and evaluate the success.
  • Responsible for all NORC program planning and implementation.
  • Work collaboratively with housing partner to ensure proper, timely, and complete response to identified needs of clients.
  • Provide Case Assistance for clients
  • Continually identify unmet needs of older adults and evaluate how NORCV · programming can assist with meeting those needs;
  • Recruit and train volunteers as needed.
  • Form linkages and relationships with community providers and resources.
  • Prepare materials for monthly Partners meetings, including agenda, statistics, program accomplishments and challenges, activities calendar and case presentations.
  • Regarding the NORC Advisory Committee: Service a NORC Advisory Committee
  • to include tenants, management, and community service providers. Meet monthly to plan and review NORC activities and program utilization.
  • Regarding Housing entity: Maintain communication with housing entity concerning programming, relevant management/tenant issues, and neighborhood trends and needs.
  • Identify concerns and preferences of older adult through outreach, focus groups and surveying population.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Supervises all NORC staff members.
Qualifications:
  • LMSW or MSW required.
  • Strong background in community organizing and advocacy. Must be willing to provide direct services.
  • 3+ years’ experience with older adult population.
  • 2+ years program supervision experience.
  • Some weekend and evening work may be required from time to time.
