Escuela Avancemos is seeking a Spanish Teacher for grades Kindergarten through 8th grade.

Escuela Avancemos Academy is a K-8 Public School Academy located in the heart of Southwest Detroit. We are looking for educators who will inspire our students to succeed at the highest level by educating them with love, restorative principles, and rigorous academic expectations. We are considered one of Detroit's fastest-growing schools and have been recognized by organizations such as the Detroit Children's Fund that have granted us a multi-million dollar grant to build on the instructional capacity of our staff and continue to improve our instructional practices.

We are looking for:
  • Our teachers are responsible for providing students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in core academic subject areas designed to fulfill their maximum potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
  • Teachers in this role are expected to facilitate instructional practices that enable students to develop competencies and skills that will prepare them for success in higher education and society.
  • Additionally, our teachers are expected to cultivate a positive school culture of scholarship, character, and leadership traits.

Qualifications:
  • Appropriate grade-level teacher certification is required.

Job Type: Full-time.
