Position Overview:
Southern Botanical is seeking a full-time Tree Care Branch Manager in Dallas, TX. The successful Manager is responsible for leading the daily sales & production operations of a 25- person branch. This includes overseeing staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery, managing client relationships, and meeting financial targets. The role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and knowledge of arboriculture. This position is located in our beautiful office at I-35 and Mockingbird.
Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Recruit, train, develop and supervise branch staff, including arborists, tree care business developers, superintendents and administrative staff.
- Foster a positive and safe work environment, encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
- Cultivate a positive and collaborative branch culture.
Financial Management
- Prepare and manage the branch operating budget, ensuring profitability and cost control.
- Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve financial targets and grow the branch.
- Keep systems updated and utilize data to manage the business.
Operational Effectiveness
- Oversee the daily operations of the branch, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Implement and maintain company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Coordinate scheduling and logistics to maximize productivity and resource utilization.
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
- Conduct site visits and consultations to assess client requirements and provide expert recommendations.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through quality service and effective communication.
Sales and Marketing
- Drive business development efforts to attract new clients and expand the branch's market presence.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns and sales strategies.
- Prepare and present proposals, bids, and contracts to potential clients.
Technical Expertise
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to arboriculture.
- Provide technical guidance and support to staff and clients on tree care, maintenance, and safety.
- Ensure all tree care activities comply with industry standards and regulations.
Perform other incidental and related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, or related field (preferred).
- Certified Arborist credential from the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tree care services, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of arboriculture practices, tree biology, pest management, and safety regulations.
- Proven success in managing a multi-million-dollar budget.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Aspire and Acumatica preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the branch territory.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based with regular field visits to client sites.
- Exposure to various weather conditions and outdoor environments.
- May require working outside regular business hours to meet client needs and operational demands.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift/carry materials up to 50 lbs.
