Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our team, focusing on ceramic powder processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science and engineering, with a particular emphasis on ceramic materials, powder processing techniques, and related manufacturing processes and equipment. The Senior Engineer will play a critical role in developing and optimizing our ceramic powder products to meet the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and optimization of ceramic powder processing techniques, including synthesis, mixing, milling, and classifications.
  • Design and implement experiments to improve product quality, consistency, and performance.
  • Analyze and interpret data from various characterization techniques such as XRD, SEM, EIS, BET, and particle size analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality control, to ensure seamless integration of new processes into manufacturing.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in ceramic materials and processing technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ceramic powder processing.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, and research findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • File IP protections when opportunities arise.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or M.S. in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in ceramic powder processing or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ceramic materials and their properties.
  • Hands-on experience with powder processing techniques.
  • Proficiency in using characterization tools and interpreting data.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • US Green card or citizenship is required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with scale-up and commercial production of ceramic powders.
  • Knowledge of industrial standards and regulations related to ceramic materials.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and process simulation tools.
  • Project management experience and excellent communication skills.
