Human Resources Department
The Human Resources (HR) team is responsible for managing the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment through retirement, collaborating closely with various departments such as New Site Development, Construction, Operations, Sales, Finance, Tech & Systems, and Legal to ensure a cohesive and supportive work environment. Our HR team is distinguished by its proactive and strategic approach. Unlike in many organizations where HR functions are limited to administrative oversight, our HR professionals are empowered with the authority and responsibility to drive critical processes directly. This includes talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, and organizational planning. By leveraging in-house expertise, our HR team can align long-term organizational sustainability with innovative HR practices and cost-effective strategies. This alignment ensures that our workforce is engaged, motivated, and equipped to contribute to the company's success. Each member of our HR team plays a pivotal role in making high-impact decisions, resulting in a more dynamic and productive work environment.
Position Overview
This role can be based in Ashburn, VA; in alignment with our flexible work policy. (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible).
As the L&D Partner for Leadership and Learning in the North America region, you will be a strategic innovator responsible for crafting and delivering impactful learning experiences that empower our leaders and drive organizational transformation across the continent. Reporting into the Senior Director of Learning and Development, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing both regional and global leadership development initiatives while also collaborating with stakeholders throughout North America to address the unique learning needs of each local market. With your deep expertise in adult learning principles and your passion for fostering a culture of continuous growth, you will guide our leaders through transformative journeys, from immersive management training programs to dynamic team facilitation sessions. Your work will not only unlock the potential of our leaders but also cultivate a workplace where everyone is empowered to lead with an outward mindset and drive meaningful change, region-wide.
Essential Job Functions
Leadership Development:
Design and deliver exceptional leadership development programs tailored for the North American market.
Lead the design, development, and delivery of various development programs and initiatives for the region.
Culture and Team Building:
Facilitate impactful culture and team-building initiatives, such as Outward Mindset workshops, to drive organizational transformation across the region.
Facilitate engaging and transformative workshops, training sessions, and team-building activities to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth throughout North America
Collaboration and Customization:
Collaborate with HR and L&D colleagues to ensure global learning initiatives are effectively adapted and implemented throughout North America.
Partner with regional business leaders and stakeholders to identify critical learning requirements and develop customized solutions for their local needs.
Work with global and regional L&D colleagues to adapt and localize global learning content and resources for the unique needs of each North American region.
Continuous Improvement and Impact Analysis:
Leverage data and insights to continuously evaluate the effectiveness of learning interventions and drive continuous improvement across the region.
Collect and analyze data on the impact and effectiveness of learning programs across the region, using insights to continuously optimize the employee experience.
Coaching and Mentoring:
Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to program participants, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their personal and professional goals.
Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to leaders as they navigate their leadership development journey.
Industry Trends and Best Practices:
Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging learning technologies to enhance the design and delivery of learning initiatives for the North American market.
Contribute to the development and implementation of the regional learning and development strategy, ensuring alignment and consistency across North America.
Stakeholder Management:
Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of learning programs throughout the region.
Partner with regional business leaders and HR teams to understand their unique challenges and priorities, aligning learning initiatives accordingly.
Additional Duties:
Handle additional duties as assigned by Management.
Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Learning and Development, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a learning and development role, with a focus on leadership and management development in a regional or global capacity.
Data Center or high-tech experience is preferred, but not required.
Skills:
Proven track record of designing and delivering engaging, impactful, and measurable leadership development programs tailored for diverse regional markets.
Expertise in facilitating interactive workshops, training sessions, and team-building activities, particularly in the areas of culture and mindset transformation.
Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and the latest trends in learning and development, with the ability to apply them in a regional context.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills, with the ability to effectively engage with leaders at all levels across the North American region.
Proficient in using learning management systems, data analysis tools, and other relevant learning technologies.
Adaptable and innovative, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work effectively in a decentralized, geographically dispersed organization.
Passion for driving a culture of continuous learning and development, with a deep commitment to the success of our leaders and the organization.
Driven, strong communicator, outstanding written & communication skills along with high attention-to-detail, required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel .
Travel required is expected to be up to 10% but may increase over time as the business evolves.
