- Architect and implement data governance and security measures to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-driven opportunities and provide strategic recommendations.
- Perform data analysis, profiling, and validation to ensure accuracy and quality of data.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data architecture, data engineering, and data management.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years professional experience working as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role for Financial Services firm(s) (buy-side preferably).
- Strong technical proficiency in Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, SQL, and other relevant data tools and technologies.
- Proficiency in relational and dimensional modeling techniques and experience working with finance professionals in a time-sensitive environment.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, with experience leading and managing Scrum teams following Agile methodologies.
- Solid understanding of fixed income and asset management principles and processes, including experience designing data solutions for a financial organization across various asset classes.
- Mastery of both legacy and modern tools/platforms, such as SSIS, SSRS, and SQL Server.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, technical teams, and business users at all levels within the organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Self-starter and team player with the ability to manage complex challenges.
- Experience with large-scale data solutions and migration projects; BlackRock Aladdin experience is highly desirable.
- Data warehouse implementation experience for a buy-side investment firm.
- Experience integrating external data providers.
