The firm is know for it's elite real estate investment platform and providing employees with strong opportunities for career development and advancement.
You'll be responsible for playing a key role in supporting the multifamily real estate investment team by developing and implementing portfolio strategies that maximize asset performance and drive growth. You'll work closely with Acquisitions, Asset Management, Investor Relations, and Operations to support strategic decision-making across the entire portfolio. This includes conducting ongoing financial analysis & valuations, monitoring investment performance, supporting acquisition approval, and conducting market research & analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of portfolio strategies for multifamily assets across various markets.
- Support the analysis of macroeconomic trends, regional market conditions, and property-specific data to inform portfolio strategy.
- Provide recommendations on capital allocation, asset positioning, and potential divestitures or acquisitions to optimize portfolio performance.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of existing assets, including tracking key performance indicators, leasing activity, occupancy rates, and rent growth.
- Collaborate with property management teams to execute strategies aimed at increasing asset value and achieving financial targets.
- Assist in preparing asset management reports and presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Conduct financial modeling, due diligence, and underwriting for potential multifamily acquisitions.
- Evaluate investment opportunities by analyzing cash flows, returns, and risk factors to support acquisitions and investment decisions.
- Collaborate with acquisitions and investment teams to assess market opportunities and align investment decisions with portfolio strategy.
- Perform in-depth research on multifamily real estate markets, competitor performance, demographic trends, and emerging investment opportunities.
- Use data-driven insights to support strategic recommendations and decision-making for portfolio adjustments and market entry or exit.
- Prepare and present detailed reports, investment memos, and strategic analyses to internal teams, senior management, and investors.
- Communicate complex data insights and strategic recommendations clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
- Track and report on key metrics to measure performance and strategy outcomes.
Qualifications:
- 3 - 6 years of experience in Real Estate Acquisitions, Asset Management, or Investment Banking M&A. Focus on Multifamily is preferred but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree (MBA or MSRE) or CFA is a plus.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with proficiency in Excel and real estate financial software (e.g., Argus).
- Solid understanding of real estate markets, particularly in multifamily property operations and strategy.
- Ability to synthesize market research and financial data to inform strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing reports for senior stakeholders.
Compensation (depending experience)
Base: $150k - $185k
Bonus: Target ~45% of base
