We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Corporate Safety Manager to help uphold and enhance our safety culture across all operations.
Position Summary:
The Corporate Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors. This role will work closely with leadership, field teams, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, particularly within the crane and heavy equipment industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management in industrial settings, with specific experience in crane operations or related sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Program Development & Implementation: Create, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs that align with corporate goals and industry standards.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and other relevant safety laws and guidelines related to crane operations and construction environments.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits of job sites, equipment, and practices to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Training & Education: Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels, including site-specific training and certification requirements for crane operators and riggers.
- Incident Investigation & Reporting: Lead investigations into safety incidents, accidents, or near misses. Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and ensure that all incidents are reported accurately.
- Safety Culture Development: Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization by fostering communication, encouraging employee engagement, and implementing best practices.
- Safety Audits & Inspections: Conduct regular site audits, equipment inspections, and safety meetings to monitor adherence to safety standards and to ensure the proper functioning of safety equipment.
- Regulatory Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies (OSHA, DOT, etc.), ensuring that all audits, inspections, and reports are handled efficiently.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate safety records, safety meeting notes, training logs, and incident reports for internal and regulatory review.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest safety trends, technologies, and regulations. Recommend improvements to safety programs and policies based on industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) is a plus. OSHA 500
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably within the crane, construction, or heavy equipment industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and other safety requirements specific to crane operations and heavy machinery.
- Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Ability to conduct site visits, inspections, and audits in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry safety equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, safety gear) and perform physical inspections of crane equipment.
