Position Overview

As a UX/Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating intuitive and visually appealing user experiences across our Extron control system platforms. You will collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, developers, and project managers to translate concepts into engaging and functional designs and interfaces that enhance user interaction and satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • User-Centered Design: Apply user-centered design principles to create visually appealing and intuitive interfaces.
  • Visual Design Development: Conceptualize and create artwork for various interfaces, ensuring aesthetic excellence and functionality.
  • Graphic Asset Creation: Produce high-quality graphics, icons, illustrations, and infographics that align with project requirements.
  • Storyboarding: Develop storyboards and user flow diagrams to visualize interaction scenarios and communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers, developers, and project managers to ensure design feasibility and consistency.
  • Documentation: Prepare design specifications, user guides, asset libraries, and guidelines to facilitate smooth handoff to development teams and stakeholders.
  • Feedback Integration: Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders and users to enhance designs and address usability concerns effectively.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, UX/UI Design, HCI, or a related field .
  • 2+ years of relative experience as a UX/Graphic Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, XD) and familiarity with prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma).
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability testing methodologies.
  • Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating exceptional user interfaces.
  • Proven experience building and/or leveraging a design system (style guide)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a confident ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences alike to present and discuss design decisions.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and levels of leadership.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with developers.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience conducting your own visual design research.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to faster pace, shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills and capable of working on multiple projects at the same time and prioritizing appropriately.


Salary range: 75-80k annually. Pay may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
