By introducing a fresh, multi-sensory approach, we are creating an inclusive space for yoga practitioners of all levels. Our client is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of yoga practice while helping our community on their path to health and wellness.


About the Owner

The heart behind our client comes from the owner’s passion for creating a new standard in hot yoga for the Greater Capital Region. With over a decade of experience, the owner discovered profound mental and physical benefits through the practice of hot yoga and is eager to share those benefits with others. Having traveled and studied hot yoga techniques from top studios nationwide, the owner is focused on bringing that expertise to the local community. The owner’s personal background in communications and public health, along with a 200-hour teacher certification in progress, ensures a well-rounded approach to building this unique studio experience.


Roles and Responsibilities

As a Hot Yoga Instructor at our client’s studio, you will be responsible for:

- Leading hot yoga classes that align with the studio's philosophy and high standards of practice.

- Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for students of all levels.

- Providing safe and effective instruction, including modifications for various abilities and needs.

- Developing strong relationships with students, offering encouragement, guidance, and support.

- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students during sessions by monitoring the class environment.

- Maintaining the studio’s atmosphere by following cleanliness and safety protocols.

- Assisting with student check-ins, answering questions, and helping with studio tasks as needed.

- Staying up-to-date with the latest yoga techniques and trends to keep classes innovative and fresh.

- Representing the studio's core values and mission in every interaction with students and staff.

- Supporting the overall community atmosphere, including participating in occasional events or workshops.


Qualifications:

- Must possess excellent leadership and management skills to create a positive, successful environment for staff and members

- Previous management experience in the health & fitness industry strongly recommended

- Strong work ethic, integrity, and professional demeanor

- Solid verbal and written communication skills required

- Ability to multi-task and manage client and staff concerns

- Previous experience as a coach or instructor, preferred

- Current CPR Certification or to be obtained within three months of start date

- Excellent time management skills; must be able to manage many tasks quickly and efficiently

- Strong computer skills required with knowledge of MS office programs (Excel, Word)

- Ability to work and function in a TEAM environment

- Health & Fitness minded people with a passion for fitness strongly preferred


Compensation:

• $37/hour base salary + bonuses + room for growth
