Subcontract Administrator

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Subcontract Administrator to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate and execute the Subcontractor Selection Process in collaboration with SHEQ, Engineering, Project Management, and Construction teams to support the re-qualification process.
• Organize and lead pre-award meetings and manage the Request For Quote (RFQ) process for subcontractors, including identifying potential subcontractors, assembling RFQ packages, and coordinating clarifications.
• Prepare commercial bid comparisons, negotiate subcontracts, and finalize subcontract documents to ensure project requirements are met.
• Review and approve subcontractor invoices in cooperation with the site manager and/or construction department.
• Review and verify subcontractor insurance requirements and certificates to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Administer Change Order Management by reviewing the contractual basis for change orders, coordinating the approval process, and maintaining change order logs, along with cost reporting and forecasting.
• Enter and maintain accurate subcontractor data in the ERP system.
• Expedite subcontractor documentation and reporting requirements to maintain project timelines.
• Manage claim administration with subcontractors, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ~5 years of relevant experience preferred
• Industrial gas experience is highly preferred.
• Broad understanding of the construction industry and contract language.
• Ability to identify risks and minimize associated consequences effectively.
• Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Lotus Notes, and other industry-specific software applications.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with superiors, colleagues, and external partners.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
