Position Overview


The Financial Manager will be responsible for the financial health of the company. This role includes managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial input to the leadership team and board of directors. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.


Key Responsibilities


Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections.


Accounting Operations:

  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.


Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to the leadership team and board of directors.
  • Maintain financial health indicators and KPIs to track company performance.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures.


Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor and manage company cash flow and financial position.
  • Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and working capital.


Internal Controls and Compliance:

  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and legislation.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Manager or similar role within a startup or fast-growing company.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, financial planning software).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
