Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Director of Operations to join our executive team. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong technical background and a proven track record of managing engineering teams and projects. The Engineering Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing all engineering activities, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of technical solutions to our clients.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage the engineering department, including project managers, engineers, and support staff.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve engineering and organizational goals.
  3. Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
  4. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the engineering team.
  5. Collaborate with other departments, including Business Development, to align engineering initiatives with business objectives.
  6. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
  7. Manage resource allocation, budgeting, and performance evaluation for the engineering department.
  8. Stay current with technological advancements and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  9. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting professional development and growth.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Master's degree preferred. Professional Engineering License (PE) a requirement.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  3. Strong technical background with expertise in heavy industrial capital project erection using process machinery and pressure vessels.
  4. Proven ability to adjust to client’s expectations in varied industries such as oil refining, natural gas industry, specialty chemical and food industries.
  5. Strong knowledge of B31.1/ B31.3 piping design as well as typical in line devices.
  6. Proven work history in facility design.
  7. Proven experience in managing complex multi-disciplined engineering projects through conception to completion.
  8. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  9. Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
  10. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  11. Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
  12. Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
