This is a unique opportunity to work at a nimble, forward-thinking startup and help build the foundation for a new generation of RNAi therapies.



Accountabilities:The candidate will be required to lead cell and molecular biology workflows by applying molecular biology skills, such as nucleic acid preparation, RNA isolation, tissue homogenate preparation, protein assays, or cell culture, to a variety of biology and medicinal chemistry experiments.

  • Responsible for hands-on laboratory-based research for sample/tissue processing and reliable Pharmacokinetic (PK) and Pharmacodynamic (PD) data generation using cutting edge technologies such as MSD/QuantiGene/qPCR.
  • Will perform tissue culture work.
  • Must be a team player and will work closely with other team members.
  • Management of inventory systems and liquid handling automation.
  • Will communicate data to the manager and present it in team/group meetings.
  • Maintains lab notebooks, ELN and reports the data accurately to the manager.


Qualifications:

  • PhD degree in biology, Pharmacology, or related field is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in industry after a Post-Doc/PhD is required.
  • Experience in molecular and cell biology is required.
  • Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must have attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills.
