Position Summary: The Director of Ecommerce will shape and execute the ecommerce platform strategy to fulfill customer demands and scale the company’s ambitions. You will oversee the implementation of capabilities on the Adobe Commerce platform to enhance customer engagement, growth, and adoption. Your primary focus will be on B2B markets in the industrial and food ingredients sectors globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a diverse team of internal and partner product managers, solution architects, designers, and developers.
  • Develop and refine the ecommerce strategy for B2B markets, identifying new opportunities and aligning the organization on the vision and sequencing of product features.
  • Work closely with client-facing sales teams and digital marketers to drive customer engagement and strategic conversations.
  • Integrate commerce orders with the backend ERP system through APIs.
  • Ensure the accuracy of product data, pricing, stock levels, and digital assets on the platform.
  • Oversee platform enhancements and user security in accordance with corporate policies and best practices.
  • Manage the ecommerce roadmap, providing stakeholders with regular progress updates.
  • Conduct platform demos for clients and prospects.
  • Gather and act on client and customer feedback to continually improve the ecommerce site.
  • Monitor site performance to ensure an exceptional customer experience, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Drive platform adoption by collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Foster a design culture that incorporates customer feedback and user research throughout the platform’s development.
  • Manage project resources and work with the digital marketing team in a dynamic environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven experience implementing Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento 2.0) for B2B clients.
  • Strong knowledge of shopping cart development, including shipping and payment gateway integrations.
  • Proficient in front-end development technologies such as MERN stack and PHP.
  • Experience leading cross-functional Agile Scrum teams.
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and adept at solving complex issues while delivering results.
  • Hands-on experience as an engineering lead on prior projects.
  • Experience enhancing customer experiences on global commerce sites (EU and NA).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Leadership and organizational capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in ecommerce platform operations, specifically with Adobe Commerce / Magento 2.0.
