We are seeking a Vice President of Product Management with a strong background in global payroll to join our leadership team.

In this role, you will lead our global payroll, payments and invoicing teams. You will be responsible for both reinforcing our product foundations and spearheading innovative enhancements that drive future growth. You will partner with Design, Finance, Data & Analytics, Risk, Technology, Authentication, Operations, Marketing and Legal and Compliance on key inputs and drive towards recommended approaches for product delivery.

You will report to the Chief Product Officer.

This role will be a hybrid model from our Palo Alto, CA office.

You Will:
  • Strategy: Work with Financial Management Product team to develop strategy for the Payments and Payroll, with a singular focus of delivering innovative payment services via the most important platforms of today and tomorrow.
  • Ownership: Align with strategy for multiple business teams and create and drive a portfolio of cross-functional initiatives to achieve core elements of the business strategy.
  • Definition: Explain business problems, gather evidence from users and outside sources, clarify the potential solutions with assumptions, guiding principles, strategic connections.
  • Roadmap: Define the roadmap and prioritization across the financial management portfolio and create functional & non-functional requirements and user stories to manage product backlog and execution through scrum teams.
  • Delivery: Partner with teams and technology partners to ensure efficient execution of key initiatives in a scaled agile delivery framework.
  • Communication: Serve as primary evangelist of Financial Management strategy and product capabilities with internal, business, and executive stakeholders. Participate in industry events, customer briefings, analyst briefings, and advisory boards.
  • Outcomes: Drive outcomes aligned with business teams and team OKRs and report key metrics driving product effectiveness, utilization and satisfaction.
  • Team leadership: Build and manage a high-performing team of product managers.
You Have:
  • 15+ years of experience leading and growing product teams with people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
  • Bachelor's OR Master's degree in a technical field (Engineering/Computer Science or related) or business-related discipline.
  • 7+ years of industry experience with related product management, design, or business-facing product development experience.
  • Experience working with payroll or FinTech products and experience with cloud technologies.
  • Experience communicating product updates, milestones, and progress to internal and external partners, including experience developing influential presentations.
  • Deep understanding of the payroll or related space and its future direction, including customer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Experience in EoR products, HR Product management, or financial services management.
  • Fluency in technical delivery, including scaled agile processes and product management tools like Confluence, Jira.
  • Experience balancing new developments with reducing tech debt with the ability to collaborate across departments.
