Elevance Health Actuarial Director - SEATTLE, Washington

Location: This position will work in a hybrid model (virtual and office). Candidates must reside within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection, with the minimum in-office commitment being 1-2 days in the office per week.

The Actuarial Director identifies, evaluates, and responds to financial risks inherent in the pricing and development of health insurance products.

How you will make an impact:

  1. Prepares and interprets data and related formulae.
  2. Monitors trend of profit and profitability by line of business and/or product.
  3. Serves on major, multi-function projects as Actuarial representative.
  4. Organizes and directs the staffing and workflow of the section.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 6 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

FSA required from the Society of Actuaries (SOA).

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Medicare Advantage experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary range for this specific position is $128,592 to $243,648.

Locations: California, Colorado; District of Columbia (Washington, DC), New York; Washington State.
