For over thirty years, McGilloway, Ray, Brown & Kaufman, a full-service CPA firm with offices in Monterey and Salinas, California has been providing tax, accounting and consulting services to local individuals, businesses, non-profits, and local governments. Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a dynamic, self-motivated team player for the following role:

Tax Senior

Monterey, CA

Working directly with a broad range of clients, you will lead tax engagements including the preparation of tax returns for individuals, businesses, partnerships, and trusts; you will complete tax planning, projections, research, and consulting; you will communicate engagement progress to clients, managers, and partners; you will also anticipate issues and recommend solutions, while developing and cultivating professional client relationships. CPAs, CPA candidates, Enrolled Agents (EAs) and candidates without a license but with relevant work experience will be considered.    Experience in the medical, restaurant, hospitality, real estate, construction and agriculture industries, experience with trust tax returns, and proficiency with Lacerte, Thomson Reuters, QuickBooks (both On-line and Desktop), Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word software are all a plus.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in accounting,

·         2+ years of recent public accounting tax experience,

·         Strong communication, organizational, analytical and PC skills,

·         Ability to professionally lead engagements, thrive in a paperless office environment, identify and resolve complex accounting issues, meet deadlines and juggle priorities while working both independently and in a team setting,

·         A desire to advance by maintaining client contacts and developing new clients.
