From earplugs to hand tools, to abrasives and cutting tools, they provide the vast majority of their customers’ maintenance, repair, operations, and production-related needs. They also are a leader in technical services with offerings that include safety equipment inspection, maintenance, certification, and solution design.

You Will:

  • Report to the Sr Director of Enterprise Data & Applications and shape the technical direction of the company's data strategy globally.
  • Manage, coach, and lead a team of five Data Engineering professionals.
  • Align data engineering initiatives with organizational strategic goals.
  • Plan and implement reliable, and cost-effective data solutions, while evaluating trade-offs between technologies to determine optimal strategies.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of data systems and structures.
  • Ensure that all data solutions are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance, facilitating the seamless flow of information across the organization.
  • Provide input and leadership towards developing a vision for how data will be utilized across the company.
  • Work to align data initiatives with business objectives, identifying new data opportunities and driving innovation in data management and analysis.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for data infrastructure and team performance.
  • Ensure effective resource utilization and achieve project timelines consistently.
  • Lead Data Engineering initiatives, manage resource allocation and foster a collaborative team environment.



You Have:

  • At least 10 years in data warehousing for large-scale datasets, including management of data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • 5 years leading and mentoring data engineering teams.
  • A passion for leading, coaching, mentoring, and managing engineers, to ensure their personal and professional growth.
  • Expertise in using Python and Clojure for data engineering.
  • Proficiency with Apache Airflow
  • Used the Microsoft Azure Analytics suite (Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure HDInsight, Azure Data Explorer, Azure Monitor, Azure SQL Database, Azure Factory, Azure Stream Analytics, and Azure Databricks) extensively in an enterprise, production environment
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or similar frameworks for managing data engineering projects.
  • Extensive experience with Kimble Dimensional Data Modeling
  • Strong proficiency with Azure cloud services to manage data storage and processing at scale.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities to troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues. This includes crisis management and ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Translating complex technical concepts into accessible terms and listen to internal customer needs to deliver impactful data tools.
  • Capability to work for any US Based employer
  • Less than a 2 hour commute to Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC for presentations at their main offices.


Ideal candidates will be located within 2 hours from Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.
