Role Overview:

As a Machine Learning Research Engineer at Mindtech, you will be at the forefront of developing and applying state-of-the-art machine learning techniques. You will work closely with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to create models that solve complex real-world problems. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic and research background in machine learning, hands-on experience in model development, and a passion for experimenting with innovative AI techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research, design, and implement cutting-edge machine learning models for various applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into practical ML solutions.
  • Develop scalable machine learning algorithms and optimize model performance.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, integrating new methods into ongoing projects.
  • Conduct thorough experimentation and analysis to validate model effectiveness.
  • Build, train, and evaluate models using large datasets, ensuring robustness and accuracy.
  • Write research papers and technical documentation to present findings internally and externally.
  • Contribute to the overall architecture and design of machine learning systems.
Requirements:
  • Educational Background: PhD in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field is required.
  • Experience:
    • Proven research experience with hands-on experience in designing and implementing ML models.
    • Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and classical ML libraries (Scikit-learn).
    • Solid experience in Python and familiarity with data manipulation tools (Pandas, NumPy).
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning techniques.
    • Proficiency in model evaluation, optimization, and hyperparameter tuning.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deploying machine learning models.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with large, complex datasets.
    • Strong communication skills for effectively presenting complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with reinforcement learning, natural language processing, or computer vision.
  • Published research in high-impact ML/AI conferences or journals.
  • Familiarity with MLOps and CI/CD pipelines for ML models.
