Collections Specialist
Location: Denver Tech Center (DTC) | Work Style: 100% Onsite

What You'll Do as a Collections Specialist:

  • Develop and Refine Collections Processes (30%)

    • Analyze current practices and create an efficient, scalable collections process from the ground up.
    • Document and organize these processes for long-term success.

  • Customer Relationship Building (30%)

    • Establish professional, clear communication with 300-500 customers at any given time.
    • Set up payment plans and follow up to ensure timely resolution of overdue accounts.

  • Account Prioritization and B2B Collections Calls (25%)

    • Review accounts over 60+ days past due and prioritize high-impact opportunities.
    • Make personal phone calls to customers to address outstanding balances and resolve disputes.

  • Analyze and Track Progress (15%)

    • Utilize Excel to track, organize, and report on collections activity.
    • Identify trends in payment behavior and collaborate with the team to improve overall outcomes.

What We're Looking For in Collections Specialist Candidates:

  • Must-Have Skills:

    • Proven background in B2B collections, with clear accomplishments in reducing past-due balances.
    • Strong ability to communicate effectively and professionally, fostering trust and resolution.
    • Experience developing and documenting collections processes from scratch.
    • Decent Excel skills (e.g., sorting, data organization) to handle high-volume account tracking.

  • Pluses:

    • NetSuite experience.
    • Previous experience in a high-growth or PE-backed environment.
    • A degree in accounting or finance is helpful but not required.
