Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, critical, and creative Principal Scientist to join our ThinkCyte team in the San Francisco Bay Area. ThinkCyte Inc. is a pioneering startup that has developed a groundbreaking technology called Ghost Cytometry (GC), a proprietary machine vision-based cell sorting technology that integrates a novel ultrafast imaging technique with artificial intelligence (AI) to identify and sort cells based on image information at record high-throughput rates (Ota, et al. Science 2018.) The company’s flagship product, VisionSort, is the world’s first AI-based, dual-mode fluorescence and morphometric cell sorting platform, equipped with GC.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, collaborative R&D team at the forefront of cutting-edge technology. The primary responsibility of this position is to spearhead the development of innovative cell-based assays leveraging the VisionSort platform for a wide range of applications, including disease profiling, functional genomics, drug discovery, cell therapy, and regenerative medicine. The successful candidate will work closely with our internal research and development teams as well as external partners to develop novel applications using VisionSort.

The ideal candidate will have the expertise to lead the development and optimization of cell-based assays and effectively collaborate with cross-functional and multicultural teams, including bioinformatics, data science, product development, business development, and marketing. This role offers the chance to significantly impact various biomedical disciplines through innovative technology.

Compensation/Benefits:
