Job Responsibilities:

  • Support forensic tools within the environment including but not limited to Nuix Workstation, Nuix Investigate, Cellebrite, X-Ways, QuickBooks, ScanWriter, Relativity, and multiple desktop virtual managers (e.g., VirtualBox, VMware Player)
  • Provide hypervisor configuration, reporting, management, and troubleshooting. Hypervisors include on premise and off premise solutions (e.g., Nutanix, Azure, AWS, and VCF) and reporting (e.g., Prism, Citrix).
  • Provide expert VDI support for on premise and off premise solutions (e.g., Azure, Horizon, Citrix)
  • Provide expert firewall support and configuration for on premise and off premise solutions (e.g., Netscaler, Cisco, Fortinet)
  • Expert support on Windows domain authentication, multifactor (e.g., Common Access Cards, host certificate)
  • Expert support for Azure SAML Networking and authentication, Azure virtual systems
  • Expert support for FortiManager, FortiNac, FortiEMS, network troubleshooting, and managing administrative network domains (e.g., Virtual Domains (VDOMs), Administrative Domains (ADOMs))
  • Provide forensic tool installation services, troubleshooting, license management, tool configuration, optimization services, reporting, and other IT specialist
  • support to maintain an operational environment.
  • Support end users with ensuring software and data is available and functional to the end users on an as needed basis.
  • Ensure that all Architecture/System design, testing, documentation, and implementation support of release components follow respective system security plan terms and IRS Internal Revenue Manual (IRM) standards.
  • Update and maintain forensic software including database administration to maintain user case access.
  • Update and maintain forensic software library, key management, inventory, user checkout.
  • Install, create, and support any back-end requirements for selected software including but not limited to distributive processing, Graphics Processing Unit(GPU)/ Generative Pre-training Transformer (GPT) support, multiple backend servers, license servers, library servers, case database, and server communications.
  • Conduct analysis, design, and development, testing & implementation activities as needed.
  • Recommend, configure, test, evaluate, cloud configurations and tools in Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Configure software in a development environment to ensure its functionality within the respective system.
  • Perform regression and end to end testing to verify that software does not interfere with the day-to-day operation of assigned environment and does not pose a security risk to the system.
  • Transition of site feature to customer Configuration, setup, integration, cybersecurity analysis, documentation, and policy compliance assistance of tools, code, and/or technology platforms using IRS-CI specified standards or policies.
  • Evaluation and acquisition of software, hardware, license agreements, data, code, or other equipment to support items set forth within each environment.
  • Onsite equipment monitoring, both performance and for equipment failures
  • Cloud performance, connectivity, and usage monitoring

Qualifications:

  • 6+ year's experience in experience configuring, implementing, and supporting forensic tools deployed in the Cloud.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Forensics, or a related field (advanced degrees preferred).
  • Advanced knowledge of life cycle platforms such as Relativity, Nuix, or other tools.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automating forensic tasks.
  • Certifications such as EnCE (EnCase Certified Examiner), ACE (AccessData Certified Examiner), CCE (Certified Computer Examiner) or CFE (Certified Forensic Examiner) are strongly preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
