The Electric Engineering department within EP&S is responsible for designing all aspects of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission grid, including system planning, engineering, resiliency solutions, and asset strategy.

The Engineering Rotation Development Program is a 12-month rotation program that provides engineers an opportunity to gain meaningful engineering experience in up to two departments within Electric Engineering focused on improving PG&E's large network of electric transmission and distribution facilities. The rotation assignments will occur within multiple locations as defined. Some of the available department rotations include:
- Distribution Asset Planning
- Transmission Systems Planning
- Distribution Planning – Distributed Generation

PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
The hourly rate for a bachelor’s degree is $48.23 and for a master’s degree is $52.12.
Responsibilities
With six months in each rotation, participants will have enough time to learn about the rotational department and contribute to the department's success. Engineers can expect to work within PG&E's service territory with rotation opportunities within the departments specified above.
