Job Description
CHEP Services is the world’s largest pallet services company. We are hiring a Shift Lead for our location in Kilgore, TX.
The Shift Lead is responsible for assisting the Plant Leadership in managing total plant operations for an assigned shift and delivering superior customer satisfaction by driving results and exceeding expectations in the key areas of safety, service, quality and cost.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SHIFT LEAD COORDINATOR:
- Supervise the work of all production employees – oversees production and shipping schedules based on availability of raw and finished goods.
- Provide hands-on leadership as a Shift Lead, responsible for mentoring and coaching all production employees and working through employee relations issues.
- Support plant administration to ensure compliance to established policies
- Capable of enforcing policies and procedures to drive inventory accuracy
- Provide leadership to production staff to effectively train, develop, evaluate, motivate, delegate and monitor their activities
- Capable of filling in for Plant Supervisor as needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma/equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience leadership in an industrial, fast moving setting with industrial machinery
- Previous experience in a warehouse leadership role
- Demonstrated success in delivering strong employee relations
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally
- Ability to drive safety and create a safety conscious culture
- Ability to drive a sit down forklift
SCHEDULES
- 2nd Shift - Monday to Friday 2:00 pm to 10:00 PM $22 per hour
