CHEP Services is a leading company in pallet services worldwide. Currently, we are seeking a Shift Lead for our facility in Kilgore, TX.

The Shift Lead plays a crucial role in supporting Plant Leadership by overseeing plant operations during a designated shift to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. The focus areas include safety, service, quality, and cost with the aim of exceeding expectations.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SHIFT LEAD COORDINATOR:
  • Oversee production employees and manage production and shipping schedules efficiently.
  • Offer hands-on leadership by mentoring and coaching production staff and addressing employee relations matters.
  • Support plant administration to ensure compliance with policies.
  • Enforce policies and procedures to enhance inventory accuracy.
  • Provide leadership to production staff, including training, development, evaluation, motivation, delegation, and monitoring of activities.
  • Capable of filling in for Plant Supervisor when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in an industrial, fast-paced environment with industrial machinery.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse leadership position.
  • Proven track record of fostering strong employee relations.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Proficiency in promoting safety and cultivating a safety-focused culture.
  • Competency in operating a sit-down forklift.
SCHEDULES
  • 2nd Shift: Monday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, offering $22 per hour.
