Our Challenge:
We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our dynamic team, specializing in the commodity and capital markets sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Java development, with experience in financial applications and a deep understanding of market dynamics.
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Application Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications that support commodity and capital market operations.
- API Development:
- Create and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between different systems and services.
- Database Management:
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB) to manage and retrieve financial data efficiently.
- Market Data Integration:
- Integrate external market data feeds and services to provide real-time data to applications, ensuring accuracy and performance.
- Testing & Debugging:
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing to ensure code quality and application reliability.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, DevOps, and quality assurance, to gather requirements and deliver innovative software solutions.
- Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, APIs, and system architecture for future reference and onboarding purposes.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in Java development and financial markets to enhance existing applications and processes.
Requirements:
You are:
- A Java Developer with proven experience in developing applications for the commodity and capital markets.
- Proficient in Java and familiar with frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.
- Experienced in building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Knowledgeable in database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and data modeling.
- Familiar with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Having a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in software development, particularly in financial services.
It would be great if you also had:
