JOB SUMMARY FOR RELEASE MANAGER:


  • Hiring a Release Manager for a leading manufacturer in Chicago, IL.
  • Hybrid, First shift
  • $83- $90/hour based on benefits



RESPONSIBILITIES FOR RELEASE MANAGER:


  • Monitor CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and successful builds.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues to ensure timely delivery of code changes.
  • Develop, document, and manage UAT and production release plans.
  • Define and execute release schedules and strategies.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to validate builds and ensure quality.
  • Work with Infrastructure teams to prepare environments for releases.
  • Coordinate with Product and Business Managers to define release features and gather documentation.
  • Act as the main point of contact for release-related activities across teams.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to releases.
  • Resolve build and deployment problems in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage AWS services, including ECS, EC2, EBS, S3, Glacier, RDS, VPC, Route 53, ELB, IAM, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, SQS, SES, and Lambda.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure using automation tools like CloudFormation.
  • Automate routine tasks to improve system efficiency and reliability.
  • Write scripts and automation tools using Python.
  • Use monitoring tools such as CloudWatch to track system health and respond to incidents.



REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR RELEASE MANAGER:


  • Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years experience.
  • Master'sDegree with 8+ years experience.



SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR RELEASE MANAGER:


  • 5+ years of IT release or delivery management.
  • 3+ experience with CICD pipelines, GIT and DevOps tools and technologies
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills Top candidates will also have:
  • Experience in/with the following: o Azure DevOps o Working within an Agile framework (ideally Scrum) with multiple other teams as a Scrum Master or Program Manager or Project Co-Ordinator
  • Strong understanding and/or experience in some of the following, o AWS Cloud, automated CICD and BDD with Cucumber.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints
  • Passion for technology and an eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment
