Job Description

Do you love polished, clean UI that makes users feel like they’re eating a candlelit dinner on the International Space Station? Are you excited about a user experience so easy and natural that your pet llamalpaca could spend $2,000 on in-app purchases, if only he or she could get his or her tiny little llamalpaca feet to match your thumbprint? Have you ever actually written PHP code before? Seriously, that last one’s pretty important. If so, you should consider joining the French Girls team

Responsibilities
  1. Deliver well-crafted software on-time that meets acceptance criteria
  2. Collaborate with team members and participate in design discussions
  3. Regularly participate in code reviews, daily standups, and retrospectives
  4. Display ownership and responsibility for the projects you choose to work on
  5. Design scalable services and solve concurrency problems that will meet the demands of our increasing growth
Qualifications
  1. Intimate knowledge of designing and developing backend systems for Amazon Web Services.
  2. Mastery of developing APIs using PHP. We’re using the Slim Framework and Swagger.io. We are big on testing with PHPUnit.
  3. Familiarity with Elastic Beanstalk, DynamoDb, ElastiCache, SQS, and S3. We will be leveraging Elasticsearch and EC2 Container Service in the future.
  4. Proficiency with writing jobs and backend services using Python + Flask.
Additional Information
  1. Proficiency with Docker for environments.
  2. Proficiency with Atlassian Bamboo.
