The Crown Is Yours

As a Senior Software Engineer, Android you’ll be part of one of our multidisciplinary teams where you’ll work closely with designers, product managers, and data analysts. You’ll be a creative contributor to our processes and decision-making so that when we build new features, we can ensure the scalability and availability of the entire platform. You will take part in defining and bringing to market potentially one of the most widespread consumer products offered by DraftKings.

What you’ll do as a Senior Android Engineer
  • Develop new features, iterate on current systems, and maintain our high code quality.
  • Review Product Requirements and create Technical Plans, adhering to high quality standards and technical requirements.
  • Work closely with designers and product managers to review UI/UX and create the best product for our users.
  • Collaborate with other engineers on your team to conduct code reviews, functional testing, and release Android builds.
  • Collaborate with your iOS engineer counterparts to deliver functionality in lock-step across both platforms.
  • Participate in agile team ceremonies to ensure efficient and effective delivery of high-quality software.
  • Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
What you’ll bring
  • 3+ years of experience in Android mobile development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
  • Strong knowledge of Android operating system capabilities, app signing and deployment processes, and consumer app best practices.
  • Expert level knowledge of Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, Gradle, Hilt and Dagger.
  • Experience writing and maintaining a comprehensive suite of automated unit and integration tests.
  • A disciplined approach to development, code review, testing, documentation and code structure in a team environment.
  • Experience working with backend APIs over REST and Websockets.
  • A high level of personal accountability and a blend of strong technical skills, creative problem-solving, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Ability and desire to mentor and grow other engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and over-the-shoulder debugging.
  • Deep knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and continuous learning.
  • Passion for sports and technology, with an excitement to build the future of sports betting.
