POSITION OVERVIEW


The Sustainability Compliance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that the company adheres to state, federal, and international sustainable fuel programs. In this role, you will partner with all levels of the organization to coordinate the collection, verification, and management of compliance related data and documentation. The Sustainability Compliance Coordinator will support internal and external audits and inspections.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Coordinate the collection of all compliance-related data and documentation required by various state, federal, and international sustainable fuel programs.
  • Use various systems and/or databases to organize, manage, and record compliance-related data and documentation.
  • Verify and confirm all data and documentation for accuracy and completeness based on internal and external customer requirements, as well as various regulatory program requirements.
  • Prepare and send the required documentation for all required shipments.
  • Prepare and maintain reporting to meet Chain of Custody requirements.
  • Participates in meetings, conferences, workshops, and trainings sessions, and reviews materials to stay updated on relevant principles and developments for sustainable fuel programs.
  • Provide support in the management of internal and external data requests, certifications, inquiries, audits, inspections, and other activities as needed.


Administration and Communication

  • Strong understanding of business and ability to operate within business systems applications.
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset and seek and recommend a more efficient and effective work process.
  • With little supervision, display a strong self-motivation when performing repetitive tasks.
  • Maintain organized shipment records for compliance purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS DESIRED

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in renewable fuels industry, regulatory compliance, or sustainable energy auditing.
  • Excellent computer acumen, strong MS Excel skills required.
  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must be highly organized with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proven work or life experience that demonstrates the ability to work well as a member of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
