IT Tester

Exciting Opportunity for an IT Tester in Dallas, TX

One of our leading telecommunications clients is seeking an experienced IT Tester to join their team. This role requires on-site presence at the final client’s location in Dallas, TX, so candidates must be available to work on-site.

Key Experience Required:

• Comprehensive knowledge of client technologies and systems, with expertise in operating systems management, networking, and database administration.
• Testing tools and systems experience, including proficiency in software development and automated testing.
• Solid infrastructure understanding, covering operating systems, networking, and scripting, along with skills to define and identify KPIs.
• Familiarity with incident and problem management tools and processes.
• Specialized experience in the following domains:
• BSS: Convergent solutions, real-time billing, portals, campaign management, enterprise integration, and CRM.
• OSS: Fulfillment, assurance, enterprise integration, and customer experience management.
• Cloud Solutions.
• Service delivery and enablement, including VAS transformation and consolidation.
• TV and Media solutions.

Technical Knowledge and Domain Expertise:

• In-depth IP and networking expertise.
• Domain specialties in BSS, OSS, cloud, service delivery and enablement solutions, and VAS transformation/consolidation.

Proficient in Tools for:

• Deployment, verification, performance monitoring, fault management, ticket management, and testing management.

Responsibilities:

• IT Systems Management: Oversee the client's IT infrastructure, handling setup, configuration, and monitoring with third-party vendors. Perform system optimization, tuning, capacity planning, and assist in product selection.
• Technical Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation to support system operations and processes.
• IT System Testing: Organize and validate system integration and testing environments. Develop test plans, establish dependencies and priorities, and ensure SLA-aligned coverage.
• Test Execution: Conduct tests based on an object list and strategy, document results in test reports, and use reporting tools to capture specifications and outcomes.
• Development and Debugging: Develop code and system interfaces, and debug to address software faults.
• Service Assurance Support: Manage incidents, prioritizing swift service restoration to minimize operational impacts within SLA boundaries.
• Business Process Monitoring: Plan, design, and develop scripts for KPI monitoring (volumes/performance). Analyze these indicators and data quality results, resolving issues and making necessary adjustments.
• Technical Work Execution: Create and design scripts/data for technical tasks (recurring or unique). Prepare growth volume estimation models and plan future hardware/software licensing needs.
