We are pursuing consumer products because we believe it will drive meaningful show awareness/buzz with more tangible, curated ways to interact with our most popular content and in effect, drive long term value. We want merchandise, interactive games, and experiences to help promote our titles and build them into title brands, or franchises, so they become part of the zeitgeist for longer periods of time.


That’s where you come in. We’re seeking someone to work with the UCAN Product Development and Creative team to set creative direction and drive innovation through the lens of food and beverage to create excellent product merchandise that supports storytelling as it relates to our titles and content. You will work closely with licensees to drive that creativity from concept to production, including product approvals at all stages of execution.


Working Job Description

• Will be responsible for leading meetings and presenting concepts, designs, and ideas to outside partners

• Be an integral part of the Product Development & Creative team covering all product development aspects of the Consumer Products business across the UCAN (US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand) region.

• Lead the creative development and execution of brand properties in how they turn up across all food and beverage categories.

• Hands-on design on mood boards, product mock ups, style guide assets and other needs to assist in driving the creative direction of products.

• Partner with licensees to drive innovation and supply feedback from concept to final product approval ensuring brand vision, design quality and product integrity.

• Manage and maintain product approvals in a timely manner through the internal product approval system.

• Build and maintain close relationships with cross functional teams such as Licensing, Merchandise Strategy & Development, and Retail Marketing to support overall brand vision.

• Align with key stakeholders across content makers, brand partnerships, BLA, creative marketing and regional marketing teams where applicable to maximize the impact of our strategies.


What We Need From You

• At least 5+ years of creative design experience in the licensing, entertainment, or CPG industry

• Strong understanding and ability to speak of the licensing business

• Strong desire to think outside the box and innovate

• Ongoing observation and knowledge of f&b trends, and the ability to apply that knowledge to direct brand vision and create compelling products at all price points.

• Proven track record of innovation in food and beverage product development, driven by deep-seated passion and enthusiasm.

• Ability to art direct effectively with contractors, agencies, and licensees

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and digital.

• Strong presentation skills for both internal and external partner meetings

• Excellent memo-writing skills

• Ability to pitch business to potential partners with excitement

• Strong hands-on design and mockup rendering skills

• Essential project and time management skills.

• Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills are a must.


Pay Rate Range:

• $ 65-70/hr.
